Or

“Or” means “Light” in Hebrew.
אור

In English, “Or” is a conjunction indicating an alternative, a choice.

“Or” is “Ou” in French. When a grave accent is added — symbolizing the descent from the higher worlds into the lower — “Ou” (“Or”) becomes “Où” (“Where”), meaning Place, Makom in Hebrew, one of the sacred Names of God.
Indeed, the Divine longs to dwell in the lower worlds, to establish a Kingdom here on earth.

= 10 + 5 + 6 + 5

10×10 + 5×5 + 6×6 + 5×5
= 100 + 25 + 36 + 25
= 186

The letter Kuf is unique among the non-final letters, descending below the writing line.
Kuf carries the numerical value of 100, and each of the ten sefirot is itself composed of ten sefirot. Thus, the Tikun (Rectification) of Kuf enables illumination across all realms — even reaching the lowest places.

Similarly, “Or” (“or” as in a choice) is expressed as “O” in Hebrew (או), with a gematria of 7 — the number associated with the sefirah Malchut, representing this world, the world of action we are called to illuminate.

To light a distant place with electricity, we use alternating current, not direct current.
There is no Light without shadow, no Revelation without concealment.
Light brings alternatives, freedom, the ability to choose, to act.
Light is a unity that reveals itself through a prism of colors — one essence, yet many faces.
