Point

A point is defined by uniting opposites: connecting the vertical dimension of the Divine to its horizontal dimension.

The 10 Commandments begin with the word Anokhi (“I am”), which, according to Jewish tradition, is of Egyptian origin:
אנכי

The word Anochi can be read as “Anachi”, meaning “Vertical”.
Egypt, with its pyramids, symbolizes verticality—a masculine dimension. Each of us must leave this exile of vertical dominance to embrace horizontality, the feminine dimension.

True “religion” lies in connecting men and women within a unified divinity.

“Anachi VeOfki” (“Vertical and Horizontal”):
אנכי ואופקי
Ordinal gematria = 95, equivalent to the gematria of:
“Mi” (“Who,” the vertical dimension) + “Ma” (“What”, the horizontal dimension):
מי מה

The 95th commandment in the Torah is:
“And they shall make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8)

To connect with the Divine, one must first return inward, becoming a universal Being—a Temple where the Divine Presence resides. This central space is a unique locus containing the All: the P.Oint of the universe.

The words “Point” and “Poing” (“Fist” in French) share the same Indo-European root “Peuk”, meaning “to strike” or “to pierce.”

The Messiah, like a struck point, is said to suffer. To find the messianic dimension within oneself is to break away from the collective ego—the masses that deny introspection and venerate conformity.

Masses can display unparalleled violence toward scapegoats, but those who persist in avoiding evil and doing good will eventually see the Light: “La morsure l’accroît” (“The bite increases it” in French is pronunced like “La mort sur la croix”, “The death on the cross”).

The Messiah: The One Who Breaks Through

The Messiah is referred to as “Poretz”—”the one who breaks barriers”, “pierces through”, or “spreads out”.

#Ufaratsta

“Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth; and you shall spread out (‘Ufaratsta’) to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. Through you and your descendants, all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 28:14)

The Central Point: Where Opposites Meet

A central point is determined by uniting opposites, drawing a cross—a symbol of the Messiah’s locus.

However, the Savior is not external: neither Jesus, nor the Lubavitcher Rebbe will save you. The true Messiah is yourself.

Salvation is not found outside, as with those who idolize religious figures (“the Messiah”) or celebrities (like the footballer Messi). It is discovered by seeking the Divine within oneself.

“Oint” means “Anointed” in French.
